NLP is a powerful method of helping you to understand “the way you think, feel and act”.
Unfortunately, since many of our problematic behaviours generally run automatically outside our awareness they can be rather tricky to change. Therapeutic modalities like NLP are helpful in bringing our unconscious behaviours & thinking into conscious awareness so that we can directly deal with them.
Your NLP sessions will involve helping you find ways to unravel your experiences in a systematic way. The way that we will do this is to find out how you think or experience your problem using the way that you have encoded your sensory information of that problem so, what you see it, feel, hear, smell, etc? Often by simply asking us to represent our problem in another way can allow the problem to spontaneously change however, more importantly we get to realise that nothing is fixed and that everything is changeable.
Furthermore, in NLP, there is a presupposition which states that we have all the resources within us to change. So, this pressuposes that we are both the Creator and the Creation of our being and moreover, with new research in epigenetics (the science of how our genes change) we now have the potential have the experiences that we want to have happen and not be a slave to our past conditioning.
